How many people are getting the treatment that actually works? Who experiences side effects from all the drugs they are on (I am on 5)

I mean, a lot of people have epilepsy. 1 in 20 means 1 in 20 have gone through it, not necessarily 1 in 20 have seizures every day. ABC news has an article that talks about alternative treatments for epilepsy that don’t have those side effects.
